Finally Back Together.

Doug here...

Hello all from South Carolina!!! Yes that right I am finally out here with Chelle in S.C. We're out here to celebrate Devonna's Birthday and her Grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversery. Its really warm out here. Had another thunderstorm last night and got to watch some lighting on the way to and from the airport. So i awaited Chelle's return in the Savannah airport with Nancy, Rochelle's Grandmother, and when i finally got to see her walking down the airport isle I ran past the closed security check to meet her. I know it probably was a bad thing but who cares. I got my girl back. Nancy and Karen teased the both of us, this being the longest time apart we were glad to be able to see each other again. Well that's it for now, We're off to the store but don't think this will be the last post from South Carolina. We'll update again soon.

Rochelle here in South Carolina. I've been here since Tuesday enjoying the hot weather and thunderstorms. Tonight we went to dinner on Hilton Head Island and a really bad storm blew in. There were white caps in the harbor and everything. Sheets of tormulent rain. So awesome!! I was loving it. Then we went home and there's a storm here too. For those of you who enjoy thunderstorms, like me, here's a minute of one:

You can't see the sky very well from their house because they are surrounded by pine trees, but the gaps make it look kinda cool. Right now the storm is still going on. The house is even shaking with the thunder! Woohoo!!!

Pirate's Dinner Adventure!!!

So for our one year anniversary Doug treated us to massages and facial's at a day spa. I decided to treat us to Pirate's Dinner Adventure this past Sunday. It's much like Medieval Times. Dinner and a pirate show pretty much. When we first got there we were assigned to the green team. We bought green beads and green headbands to support our pirate.

Us as pirates

Next we went inside to the saloon area. There was a gift shop and a place to take a photo with a pirate. We opted out of the photo considering it would have been $20 to buy it later. But we did order virgin strawberry daquiris. I got mine in a coconut cup and Doug got his in a frosted glass.

Our Drinks

We did end up finding a pirate that wouldn't charge us to take a picture with him. At least we got a picture with a pirate!

Next the pirates provided entertainment while we waited to be taken into the main room to be seated. Or rather, they provided volunteers to provide entertainment. Doug volunteered wither seven other guys. First they did the can-can dance. And then Doug did an "acrobatic trick" with three other guys. Here's the video of it. All four of the men layed across each other while sitting on four chairs. Then they removed the chairs one by one until the men were unsupported yet still off the ground. After they do the trick you see Doug get bored as he tries to mess with the pirate.

This was our pirate. The green pirate. His name was "Jose."

Right after we were taken into the main room to be seated. This is what the main stage looked like. You can kinda see how they had it laid out like a ship, with a moat around it. The dinner seats were against all of the walls with six different color pirates represented: orange, red, blue, green (yay!), purple, and yellow.

The main stage where all of the action took place.

As we wait for food and for the show to start.

The show itself was a very interactive one. They had people and kids from the audience help out in all kinds of roles. I was picked to hoist one of three small flags up during one of the competitions from the side of the moat. Kids played soldiers. Kids were brought on board and sworn in as pirates (along with the rest of us.) They didn't allow for any flash photography, so I don't have any pictures of the show. I guess you'll have to go and experience it for yourself (hence also why I didn't put any of the story line in here! *Although I will say it involved pirates, a princess, and a gypsy!*)

Me and my cup being pirates haha
