Snow Summit/ Big Bear

On Thursday we were able to drive up to Big Bear City and hang out for two days. Originally we were going to hit the slopes on Thursday after we got in. I didn't sleep that well the night before and we woke up and were on the road before the sun was up. Our room wasn't supposed to be ready to check in till 2, but we stopped by just to make sure we didn't miss our reservation. Good thing we did. We got there at 10, and our room was already ready! We decided to take a nap for a bit since I wasn't feeling well from being so tired.
Then we had the idea that we would just have a lazy day and hit the slopes on Friday instead. We talked to the people at Snow Summit to confirm that our lift tickets would be good that day. Then we walked downtown Big Bear, bought our Christmas Tree ornament souvenir, and picked up some firewood bundles for our fireplace. Then we went to Carl's Jr. for some food and headed back to the cabin. We watched the rest of 12 Angry Men (our Netflix CD had been scratched the first time we tried to watch it, so we only saw half), Moulin Rouge, and lots of Boy Meets World. We ordered Dominoes and had a cozy fire.
The next morning we slept in and checked out at 11. Then we went up to the slopes and skied/snow boarded for a few hours. Doug pointed out which run he broke his collarbone on. We didn't go on that one. When we were done we packed up and headed back home. It was such a fun trip. My legs are sore from the skiing. I'm hoping to one day get on a board.
Spring Break's almost over and it's been a good one. The only bummer is the bit of homework I have to do before going back :)

While we were driving up, there were some crazy birds on the freeway. They'd fly like right in front or behind your car!

Doug was faster than me, which meant he could take pictures!
