London London London!

Today we decided to hit a lot of tourist attractions. We walked everywhere! Our legs were soo sore by the end of the night! But we had such an amazing day!

As we set out we saw these horses riding through the corner of Hyde Park. Don't know what they were up to, but it was cool to see!

House on the corner of Hyde Park where the Dukes of Wellington lived

Walkway between streets lined with jewelry, cashmere, watches, and perfume shops. All stuff we couldn't afford

Statue of Eros, the Greek god of love

Figured we'd get our picture with it since we're in love :)

We went to Piccadilly Circle, which is kind of like their Times Square. There were big screens (which look like billboards in our pictures), and Ripley's believe it or not was located in the square too, as well as a couple of theaters showing broadway shows. I just took pictures in a circle, but it's hard to really get the feel from the pictures

View of Tower Bridge down the street

We saw that they had Cinnabon, so of course we got some for lunch :) Doug had chocolate and I had original

We walked by this bakery and these desserts looked amazing!!! Yummy!!

All over there are signs that will state if someone famous lived in the building. Some are prime ministers, some architects, and others musicians and artists. We saw these two today which we thought was cool

In front of the USA Embassy there is a park with statues of some of our presidents. We saw FDR, Eisenhower, and Reagan, but didn't go through the entire park.

FDR

The US Embassy. So much more security than any of the other embassies that we've seen!

Reagan!

Plaque with Reagan quotes and people's commentaries on his life. Also had a piece of the Berlin Wall, which is the concrete in the middle.

The marble arch

I have no clue what this was...it just made me laugh!

I thought this was cool too

We walked and walked to find this road. Well, not to find it, but to get to it. Luckily right when the street changed, we were at the correct spot!

Me crossing the road!

I had to get a picture of me in an English phone booth. It smelled like pee though

Canal with pollen covering the surface and tour boots going through

St. James' church

We went to Kensington and Hyde park in the afternoon. We were really tired from all of the walking we had been doing, but we loved this park. It was so pretty and relaxing. If I lived here I'd hope that I'd come here as much as possible to just sit and read or picnic or something! This was a cute cottage near where we entered.

Italian Gardens.

I love him

Looking out to the lake from the Italian Gardens

We thought it was hilarious how each bird had their own post to sit on

Peter Pan statue! Woohoo!

The Serpentine Lake. Soo pretty

Princess Diana Memorial fountain. It's a granite fountain that goes in a circle. You can slash your feet in it if you want.

We loved this park!

Upside down tree! And a squirrel posed in front of it...

We really wanted to see a show while we were in London since it's world famous for its theatre. We decided to see a show that neither of us had seen or really knew. We loved it! We both wanna see it again!

So excited!

The stage set up. No photography allowed though, and honestly, I wanna enjoy the show, not worry about getting pictures of things.

When we stayed with Cheryl in London she lived down the street from Abby Corner in an apartment formerly lived in by a famous artist,Lawrence-Alma-Tadema. We have two oil replicas of his work which are favorites. We know the feeling of sore exhausted legs as we walked and walked as you are doing and loving it all. The horses were probably coming or going from the royal mews.I have to laugh that you just take pictures of local food and keep eating American.:)Love the photos of you two love birds and soo happy you are having such an awesome time!Nana
