We finally were able to carve pumpkins last night. We were supposed to last weekend but I got sick. So on Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch and picked out our victims. The pickings were slim though. Doug found a really good one but it was heavy so he left it on a haystack while I looked for mine and it got taken. So he had to find one again.
We called our friends Kaity and James who were gonna carve pumpkins with us last weekend too. They hadn't carved theirs yet so they came over.

Us gutting the pumpkins. Kaity doesn't like to do it, so she had James do it for her. We saved the seeds and hopefully will be able to roast them tomorrow night. Yum!

Now hopefully they'll last till Friday. We're looking forward to passing out candy to trick or treaters and watching movies. Aaaand....It'll be Doug's birthday!

That was so fun! Too bad my pumpkin just turned out Angry instead of scary, haha.
nice! those are some creepy pumpkins, i must say.
about dougs getting stolen.. well with 5 of us we all found our pumpkins are different times, so once we got them (well, 4 of us), one went off to get a wagon to cart them in, and the other two went off to help the one who had no pumpkin still, and i was deemed the watcher of the pumpkins. so along runs this little girl, RIGHT into the little half circle of pumpkins im standing in, and picks one up. and i respond with "uh... thats ones already taken." she kinda looks at me and her mom comes over and makes her leave it. then another group comes by and this time a grown woman comes and picks on up and i respond again with "yeah... that ones spoken for." and she puts it back all depressed like. all within the time of someone getting a wagon. and seriously, theyre all within 3 feet of me and im not even near where all the regular pumpkins are, we set them out in he edge of an isle away from the rest. so i dunno what wrong with people..
long story short, im sorry dougs got stolen, but pumpkin patches are shady places.
and we roasted seeds. a kind with worschestshire (w/e) sauce and another with cinnamon and sugar. the sweet ones were no good though. :(
