Berlin Day 2

Whats the best way to start a day in Berlin?
Lets try the Reichstag...Germany's Parliament building
The Building rich in history has had some tough times in the past. Suffering extensive damage after the invading Russians took over Berlin at the end of the Second World War.
My excitement was flowing out of me as we approached the building.
It was rainging, thus why I'm holding an umbrella.
As we got ready to head to the visitor to enter the Reichstag we found out...
You have to make reservations.... 3 days in advance. :(
So we decided to head to the Brandenburg Tor. Berlin's Iconic structure.
Its the Western Entrance to the Praiser Platz. [Think City's Hang out area in the early days]
View from the Plaza

Valkyrie statues were everywhere.
Doners for Lunch
We then headed south and found a segment of the Berlin wall. It was beyond amazing to discover the history attached to it as we were standing underneath the wall.
Lining the courtyard below the wall was a synopses of Post World War 1 to the end of the Berlin Wall Falling in 1989.
Checkpoint Charlie View from the U.S. Sector.
Got hit by a backing up van trying to take this picture.
From the other side of the street
Infamous Signage
From the Former USSR Sector
"I KNOW HIM" [Reagan Waving]
Berlin's Buildings were awe-inspiring to say the least
Berlin's Victory Column, symbolizing the victory in Danish-Prussian war

Looking down from the block where our hotel was, if you look closely you'll see the column
