Last night at youth group some of us were talking about movies and someone was commenting on a movie that I haven't seen, but I read the book. When I stated that I had read the book, a student said, "Why? I thought that the movie was too long, how did you sit through the book?"
And it's not a bad book or anything. I told her that I read a lot. She didn't seem to understand that. It made me laugh. I've read eleven books since finishing college, and am in the middle of two right now. I dunno. I've always love to read and never stopped loving to read. I hope I always make time to read!

i love reading too! i was actually just having this conversation with a fellow teacher and student teacher when i was reading from my kindle on my prep. they seemed in awe that i actually had time to still read while i was in school/working. i guess if you really like it (like us) you just manage to squeeze it in where ever you can!
im curious... what book/movie was the student talking about?
"Something Borrowed" I had gotten it on my Kindle in Europe. I wanna see the movie eventually!
I think of you every time I look at the oil painting we have of the girl reading. That is one We will not sell! :) Nana
ha! i knew that movie seemed much longer than 1 hour 43 minutes (and that includes the credits, doesnt it?) oh you never mentioned... did the book end up being better than the movie? im sure it was since it always is, but your input?
I liked the book better. So much was lost of the characters in the movie, but the movie did well. And I liked how they morphed Ethan's character, so I liked that addition
